'Richard

marks the fourth consecutive year that the Excellence in Media Foundation has presented classical composer and recording artist Richard Nanes with the coveted Silver Angel Award, this year for the telecast of "Richard Nanes in Recital in the Conservatories of Moscow and Kiev". Excellence in Media judges all forms of media presentation on its social, moral and or spiritual impact and its efforts to make this a better world. Kultur International has issued the program worldwide on VHS. Previous awards included that of 2001 for Rhapsody Pathetique, telecast nationwide over PBS affiliates and the USIA World Net; in 2000 for the telecast of Symphony No. 4: The Eternal Conflict, at the Moscow Philharmonic; and in 1999 for Symphony No. 3: The Holocaust telecast on the BRAVO network. |
